Restart
She started out plain and simple
Pick the name,
face
hair
eyes
height
weight.
Then came the clothes,
talents
hobbies
occupation.
Then the decision of where she lived,
played
relaxed
exercised.
There was even the choice of her family
friends
loves
enemies.
However there came a time when she became faulty,
When the girl who was created turns out to be inaccurate.
Her physical features fail and the outcome is no longer being controlled.
Her mental talents become corrupted and she deteriorates under stress.
The emotional values that once held her secure now crumbles, and she feels as though her house is no longer a home.
Even her friends can’t offer support and she is stuck
all
alone.
Thats when you reach for it,
the restart button.
Thats when no amount of cheats,
lies,
pills
can fix it.
Thats when the best thing to do
the easiest thing to do
the only thing to do
Is restart from the beginning.
I really like how you formatted the poem to look like what the words sound... I think that's a very powerful method of delivery. My favorite line is "The emotional values that once held her secure now crumbles, and she feels as though her house is no longer a home." because it really evokes emotion towards the poem as well as throughout it. Nice job!
