Crumble to ashes
Fame and power
Wither to dust
Only the values
Of patience and virtue
Lead us forever
To peace in ourselves
By dying we rise
On the path to new life
By living the Tao
We find our true joy
The Tao is the Way
The path to the truth
The Tao follows itself
I like how your poem talks about how wealth and riches are superficial and true happiness comes from simplicity and your own virtues.
ReplyDeleteI really like how your poem flows like the other Tao poems. Also, I like the message you're sending: that fame and money aren't everything.
ReplyDeleteI like your metaphors and topic.
