Tao Te Ching Poem

Little tiny pebbles
Weigh us down in life
Without us knowing
They ground us to the stream
And change the waters course

Without these little pebbles
The water would run freely
Clear from the impurities
That keep us from having balance
And refrain us from truly understanding

To flow as a free stream
We must release the excess
As said in the Tao,
“Stop thinking, and end your problems.”
We must stop our constant thinking
That weighs us down like pebbles

Only after this we can be like the Tao
“drift like a wave on the ocean”
“blow as aimless as the wind”
and most importantly
flow freely
